Yikes! I’m getting behind on posting my awards!
This one is the “I love blogging” award (I think). It’s from my dane sized lab friend, Moose. I think it’s so “wild” that his name is Moose and mine is Behr
Anyhow, THANK YOU, Moose!

This award is given:
- As a dedication for those who love blogging activity and love to encourage friendships through blogging.
- To seek the reasons why we all love blogging!
- Put the award in one post as soon as you receive it
- Don’t forget to mention the person who gives you the award.
- Answer the award’s question by writing the reason why you love blogging.
Mom’s answer: Like Moose’s mom, I started this blog just to keep friends and family updated on our new pup that we had adopted. You can read the story of the accidental blog on this anniversary post. Since then, however, I have discovered an incredible world of fellow dog lovers who not only care a lot about each other, but share in the enjoyment of each other’s dogs. I have been so impressed by the way fellow bloggers actually help each other out in real life, not only with gifts and cards, but with other tangible expressions of care and friendship. I’ve been awed by the way some people in very difficult situations have received real help from bloggers who lived near them, by the letters of encouragement to those who need it, by the fun surprise gifts our dogs receive from their blogging buddies, and by the way dog bloggers unite for a cause when one arises. What an amazing group of people, and to think, we would have never found each other if not for the world of blogging.
Behr Behr’s answer: I like to read about the things other puppy friends find to get into. It gives me great ideas! Mom probably doesn’t appreciate that, but I do. It keeps her on her toes cleaning up the messes I make and gives her something to do. I’ve also noticed that when she reads your blogs to me (kind of like a bed time story at night), she begins to feel guilty about not getting out as much with me. Then she takes me more fun places
I don’t mind the surprise cards and gifts from my friends, either
Oh yeah, the contests are great because they give me some interesting activities to do with mom. I like the contests best when I win, just so you know. Hint hint
- Tag and distribute the award to as many people as you like. Here’s the award to pass on:

I’m passing this award on to my friends Miss Kylie (cute border retriever, if you ever need to retrieve your border for some reason)
and Lorenza (best dressed Doxie ever!)
and Dobby (tons of cuteness packed into a small package)

Oh Dear! I’ve gotten behind on posting some of my new, fun awards that I’ve received. My apologies to everyone who nominated me for these wonderful awards. I feel so privileged for having such pawsome blog friends like you. Woo hoo! I’m leaping in the air for sheer joy at the thought of you all!!
Ok, so down to business.
1. “Friends Award”, given to me by my blogging friends, Roxy, Lilly, and Sophie, AKA the “PR Gang.” Their mom is really cool ‘cause she makes them seahorse cookies! Thanks!

The reason for this award is: “These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.”
We’re passing the “Friends Award” on to… (drum roll please….)
Belisma Rune (whew! That’s a lonnnnng name!)
Dobby, ‘cause he’s just so cute!
Baby Shiloh, my newest (and youngest) friend
Kai, because I want him to know he’s special to me, even if his sisters have stolen his blog…
Kenai and BB. Kenai, I wanna be big like you when I grow up. Kenai has a really cool blog full of great dog information. Go there if you haven’t already. BB is Kenai’s little brother who has overcome major obstacles and deserves to be recognized for that. (they can share the award)
Bu, who needs to come back and let us know how he is.
Rusty, my squirrel chasing buddy, and..
Savage, to cheer him up as he recovers from surgery.
Note: If any of these blogs are new to you, breeze on by and check them out. You might just find a new friend there.
2. The “Kind Blogger Award”, given to me by that rascally Dennis. Does that mean I’m kind of a blogger, Dennis?

I’m going to pass this one on to Franki V., who is really, really kind. When I was little, she even gave me a pretty pink vest, which I still wear to this day.
3. I got this one from two sources at the same time. Huey and Higgins, the Hawaiian beach danes, and Roxy, Lilly, and Sophie, the “PR Gang.” Thank all of you for choosing me for the “I Love Your Blog” award!! Now if we all lived closer, we could have an awesome “pawty” and celebrate by playing together. I wish we did.

The fine print: “The winner can put the logo on his/her blog. Link to the person you received your award from..then nominate seven OTHER blogs! Put links of those blogs on yours and leave a message on those blogs you’ve nominated! So basically…keep passing it on!!
Now I have the honor of passing the award on! Be sure to check out these REALLY GREAT blogs..
Chelsea and Shiloh (you can share, can’t you?) I look forward to reading your blog and seeing all of your great photos. Two more beach hounds.
Lorenza, best dressed Doxie in the whole world.
Dennis, the athletic, mischievous Viszla. You and Tucker keep me entertained with your daily adventures.
Thor, the golden boy of Brazil.
Max, who is quite the entraprenuer now. He’s got his own business. And…
Mango, who is a mastiff, but he sure looks like a tiger to me. You don’t have to share this with the labradude if you don’t want to. Tell him I said so, that’s why.
4. I also got this “Lemonade Award”. I’m not sure what it’s for, but I think it means I come to the aid of lemons or something. Whatever lemons are
.
To be honest, I saved the photo of the award and forgot to save the info. that goes with it, so I don’t know who even gave it to me, sorry. My bad. I’m just going to leave it at that. Thank you whoever gave it to me if you happen to see this post.

5. And last, but not least, from the capt. of the squirrel patrol, Rusty, I got his “Best Bud Award.”
I don’t have to pass that one on, since it’s his award that he gives out to his friends. Thanks Rusty!
Gosh, I’m exhausted after all of that writing.
I awarding myself a snack for all of that hard work. You can get one too if you want. Just go bug your mom or dad for it. Tell them Behr Behr said you could have it.

My Blog Is Rated EXCELLENT!
I’m honored! What started as an accidental blog (long story for another post) has grown into one with lots of daily readers. Still amazes me that this all happened, but it’s been fun. I’ve really enjoyed all of the new friends that I’ve met through blogging, too!!
THANK YOU, Kathyrn at Empty Nest for surprising me with this award! I accept it, humbly, but happily. Like, my tail is wagging a bunch right now, in other words. Do I get a snack for being good too?
In order for me to accept this award, there are some rules, listed below:
- By accepting this Excellent Blog Award, I agree to award it to 10 more people whose blogs you find Excellent Award worthy.
- You can give the award to more people, but please award at least 10.
- Link back to the person who gave you this award.
I would like to give the Excellent Blog Award to my blog friends that I feel that deserve this. There are so many great dog blogs out there now that it’s hard to choose who to pass the honor to.
Drum roll please….
So here they are:
Chelsea, of New South Wales – I’m especially fond of your blog because you are almost the same age, and also a little Dane girl like me. It’s fun to hear about all of your hiking/exploring adventures! I love your “Drama Queen” dog tag, too.
Franki V – Beautiful husky girl with great taste in clothing
I can totally relate to your fascination with digging, too. In that respect, we are like sisters!
Willow – The rest of the gang at Zoo Crew already got awarded this recently, but I want this one to go to the newest crew member, Willow. She’s only a few weeks old and already famous! Great video of her posted recently. Can’t wait for her to move to her new home so we can watch her grow and get into mischief like the rest of the “kids”.
Lorenza – This little Doxie girl has more clothes than I do!! What a model, too! She’s always up to something, and her blog is fun to follow.
Rusty – The squirrel chasing, duck hunting “great Yorkie”. His mom takes the best photos of him, catching all of his funny adventures on film for the rest of the world to see. Outstanding!
Max – One of my newest friends. He’s definitely got a way with words! So funny, as he describes his thoughts as he encounters new adventures in life. Now we can know what goes on in the mind of a Golden
Amber Mae – This girl has more exciting adventures than any dog I have ever seen, and has the photos to prove it!!! She’s smart, accomplished, funny, and beautiful.
Dennis – Has his own diary of things he’s destroyed. Yikes! This poor guy was found wandering in a canyon, in very poor health. kudos for the nice people who have taken him in and given him back his health and his own blog!
Bu - Ok, his real name is Bugenhagen the Great. Bu is a merle colored dane boy who just had his first birthday. Yay Bu.
Savage – AKA Savvy. Savvy’s mom doesn’t know this, but my mom’s been reading his blog for a long time. Way before she got me, even. She was looking for a blue male when she found me and fell in love with me instead. Boy am I glad!!!! Savvy gets to ride on snowmobiles!!
CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE. NOW PASS IT ON!
♥ little Behr Behr
Is spam real meat? (um,that’s the subject of many debates)
Is spam mail ever real mail? (rarely!!)
My mom was going thru her e-mail today, and just randomly checked her spam folder to see if there happened to be any real mail in there. She very, very rarely ever even checks it before deleting everything in there. Gosh, she almost deleted a letter for me that was real!
CONGRATULATIONS! Your wonderful site was selected as the COOL DOG SITE OF THE DAY!
|
Congratulations! “dogmark.net” selected your wonderful site ( Behr Rake’s blog ) for “Cool DOG Site of the Day” on 2nd of March, 2008. The site will be introduced on that day. “dogmark.net Cool Dog Site of the Day” started in April 1996. That was pretty cool news, if I do say so myself. Even if I found out after it happened
I’m always happy to have new friends to visit with, and if any of you found me this way, WELCOME !! Glad you stopped by for a visit!
Speaking of spam, mom found out that there is actually a Spam Festival! Turns out it’s in Hawaii, where Dusty’s mom is from. http://spamjamhawaii.com/
Hey Dusty, do you guys eat that stuff? (mom’s in the background making weird noises right now, and saying, “Ewwwww! Gross!)
Now, can I just try some of that spam stuff and I’ll let you know if it’s real meat or not?
♥ Behr Behr, the REAL THING, for real :)
My friend Rusty, the commmander of the Texas Squirrel Patrol at http://chasingsquirrelswithrusty.wordpress.com/) gave me this award because he said my blog “was fun, and this is a fun award.” Thanks, Rusty! At least, I think the award is a compliment….
I’d like to pass this award on to the very well dressed, funny dachshund, Lorenza!! (http://www.eldiariodelorenza.blogspot.com/) . Lorenza has a fun website as well.
