If you’ve following me the last week or two, you’ll remember that I’m trying to teach myself “sign language”. (trying to figure out what human signs mean)
I saw a REALLY confusing one the other day!
I wanted to take an elevator, but the sign only had two choices:
1. Couples (with no animals) could go up and
2. Single men with cats could go down.
No dogs on the elevator??? Seriously?
Silly cats! They think they’re the boss of the elevator. Ha! I like the stairs better anyhow, ’cause they help me keep my slim figure. When’s the last time you saw a slim, muscular cat?
Now you know why 🙂
♥ Behr Behr, the stair master 🙂
P. S. – If you’re wondering why I’m wearing a vest in the middle of summer, it’s really a cooling vest. It’s lined with frozen stuff and helps me keep my cool 🙂

Yay! I love going to the park and sneaking up on all of the birds!
It’s kinda tricky though, because they always want to fly away when they see me coming.
What I have to do is hide behind the trees and sneak up on them slowwwly and be vewy vewy quiet.
Shhhh. I think I see some now down by the water.
Very funny! One of them is walking around on stilts today.
Now here’s a funny bird admiring himself in the water.
My favorite birds of all are the ones that hang around in the tall grass though.
Ha! They can’t outsmart the Behr detective! I found those fowl birds trying to duck behind the grass again.
This one really quacks me up. He looks like someone inflated him a bit too much 🙂
Weekend walkies in the park are so much more fun than staying around here and just reading pee mail, for sure!
♥ Behr Behr, wingin’ it as a bird detective 🙂
Mom and I were going through the rest of our vacation photos and found this picture of a sign (from a different waterfall).
It should have been on the edge of the cliff I fell over in my last post.
We think they should put one up for dogs, too. 🙂
♥ Behr Behr, signing out for today 🙂
I just have to tell you a silly story about my parents. Two things make this story so funny to me.
1- After this trip, they wondered if was a bad idea to have named me “Behr” (which is German for bear, if you wondered) and
2- For some reason they thought I had become a blonde or something, and it caused people to panic and rush back to their cars. I don’t get it. In fact, the whole day was just plain weird.
Here’s how it all began. We went on a really cool trip for my mom’s work.
She and Dad love bear stuff, so naturally we got a cabin with bear things all over it. (again) I don’t know why they bother, since they have a real live Behr, but oh well.
Brown arrows are where their eyes look when we walk in, and the red paw print is where mine look.
I rushed right to the area my eyes were focused on and found this nice basket of goodies just for me! I like this cabin already!
It was a great place by a lake. While Mom was in her conference each day, Dad and I took hikes around the lake. Very cool.
At night, we ate at fun places where dogs could go. There were bears everywhere, but they were fake.
Some of the fake bears even tried to break into the restaurant. I get in trouble when I try things like that. I can’t even get into the trash can around our house!
So all of that was the normal part of our trip.
Stay tuned to hear about the day when my mom and dad suddenly acted really weird and scared people by saying I was a blonde. I really don’t know why they do stuff like that, but it keeps my life interesting. 🙂
♥ Behr Behr, the REAL bear, who doesn’t break into restaurants. Or trash cans.
Having fun messing with my mom and dad today.
I kept them up all night by acting real sick. Then I napped a bunch so I was all rested up, but they were still super tired.
They covered me up with my blankie ’cause it’s pretty cold outside (not over 100 ° like in my last post) and I got up and walked all around the house. They’re laughing and calling me the “Brown Ghost” as I walk by.
At least they can still laugh, even though I kept them from sleeping last night. Actually, I learned it was a good way to get extra attention. I might just have to think of more ways to scare them at night so they stay up with me. 🙂
♥ Behr Behr, the Brown Ghost….bwahaha…
Today was super boring for me. Mom said it was waaaay too hot outside to take any long walkies.
Her favorite weather place said the mean temperature here should be 73-75 degrees (F) in May, but today it was over 100 degrees.
I didn’t even know temperatures could be mean before. It’s confusing to me, because the mean temperature would have been nicer. Hmmm.
I didn’t have anything to do but hang out on one of our
decks observation platforms and keep an eye on the squirrels.
Even THEY were bored and didn’t make noises at me or run today. See for yourself…

So many fun places I’ve been to in the U.S.A. that I don’t know where to start! In coming posts, I’ll tell you about the other fun things I do when I’m not traveling.
Mom and Dad are nice because they usually take me places with lots of bear stuff around, and with forests and mountains to play in.
Now that you know that, you’ll understand why I wasn’t so happy when we went somewhere that only had space dogs and fish. Things started out OK when we arrived at our cabin near the lake.
We took lots of fun walkies and watched the ducks and had picnics. There’s one thing missing on the table, though- my bowl. Actually, I mean my bowl full of food. (who wants an empty bowl?)
Everything was going super well, until the strange gray dogs starting showing up.
First there was just this one, taunting me by bringing his lunch and eating right in front of me. (that’s not my food ’cause I eat raw stuff)
Then he brought three of his friends the next time. I want you to notice how he looked at me and laughed. I really didn’t think this was funny.
I went back inside the cabin to take a nap and get away from them, but all I dreamed about was food.
Things got even worse the next day when the gray dog and his entire family had dinner right in my view. It was making me hungry, but Mom and Dad said I had to wait for my own dinner. 😦
It’s obvious they are bad guys because they are wearing those black masks on their faces.
I’m pretty sure they were from outer space since I’ve never seen their kind around before. Maybe that’s why they didn’t have any manners. Just look at how they shovel the food into their mouths!!
When we got home, I had nightmares about the masked space dogs stealing my food and laughing.
It’s more fun to play with nice puppies, like you. At least you don’t wear masks and do mean things.
♥ Behr Behr, the nice BLACK dog from Earth:)
Note from Behr’s mom- Don’t worry, Behr didn’t really eat any of the fish. That was just her silly dream.
Also, we were not the ones providing the raccoons with food, and didn’t think it was at all wise. They got their food from another cabin.
Funny story– before I got Behr, I lived in the mountains and had a gray and black cat.
One day I thought he came in his little door and was munching on his food right behind me. I was busy, but talking away to him as usual. When I turned around to pet him, I was shocked to see that it was a raccoon with the same coloring 🙂 I also woke up to one walking on my bed headboard before!
The joys of living in the forest 🙂

After arriving back home,* I was trying to decide what to do with my life next. I looked up at the stars and asked for a sign to let me know what I should do.
The next day, I was going for a walk, and I got my sign!
Reflect? Did that mean I needed to stare at a mirror all day?
Ok, then I got the message. I just needed to go away and think and do some soul searching, but where?
That’s when I remembered learning about nuns when I was a puppy, and how they live in a quiet place and wear funny hats. If you want to know why I was even reading about nuns, that story is found here.
So, that’s how I became a nun for a little while.
At least I didn’t have to wear the pointy hat.
Once I was at the nun place, I started having strange things happen. For example, there was the day I was walking in the park and a puppy ran up to me holding a sign in it’s mouth.
Wow, another sign!
Home is where my friends are?? Which friends, I wondered. That night I had a dream that I was in a cave looking at caveman drawings. One of the drawings had these words on it:
When I saw that drawing, I felt a deep ache in my heart. It’s true, I did miss all of my friends from my blog. In fact, it made me cry because I missed you all so much. You guys really DO rock!
I think the blogosphere is like a giant, virtual dog park where we can all get together and play and tell stories. That’s way more fun than any world travel ever was.
I headed home, unpacked my computer, and re-hired my old secretary. Oops, I should point out that I didn’t mean to say that she is old, just that she’s the one I had a long time ago. If I don’t fix that, she won’t work for me anymore. Geesh. Picky, picky.
By the way, cats are allowed at my blog too. I know some of you secretly read my blog anyhow. No problem.
So, lots to catch up on. My (old) secretary had better get busy!
See ya at the (virtual) dog park!
♥ Behr Behr, rockin’ it in the park with my friends 🙂
